Joseph Barbera (1911-2006)
The creaters of Tom and Jerry, by far the best cartoon characters ever, Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera were perhaps the best animation team in history that created many more memorable cartoons like Flintstones, Yogi Bear and Jetsons.
The passing away of Joseph Barbera, at 95, is the end of an era. A gentler era when a cat and mouse chase was enough entertainment.
Check out my favourite Tom and Jerry cartoon, The Cat Concerto. It won the 1946 Oscar for Best Animation.
